Like everything else men do to keep themselves looking groomed and office ready, shaving has a history that goes back thousands of years and the aim is still the same: men want that so-called “perfect shave.” Why, then, do so many men find this so hard to achieve? The answer may be that proper shaving has become something of a lost art. Shaving is a time honored tradition that was once passed down from father to son, but in the age of modern and disposable razors, and electric razors, and hurry-scurry mornings that leave people with less time than ever to spend getting ready, people have just let that tradition fall by the wayside.
So, how did we get from there to here? What once was a properly executed means of male grooming has been reduced to cheap and often dull, disposable utensils that neither do the job they are meant to do, nor point to any reasonable hope that things will improve in the future.
